'Morning' Aubrey!
We camped out at Annaharvey since 10:30pm last night after the lecture, where it rained for a time. Then, it cleared after 00:40hrs till around 02:00hrs when we sheltered our equipment and headed to our tents for a couple hours kip, alarms set for 04:30hrs. Light drizzle and lots of cloud, broke in gaps after 05:35hrs. No luck on seeing the Sun at all, not one gap was low enough! But the barbecue was tasty though...
Mixture of and for our MAC Transit of Venus 2012 event.
Oh well, there's always the next one...
Seanie.

No photo's of the transit but we did get to see it through Eugene Burke's 8" scope for a few minutes. Mostly cloudy but it did start to clear which gave us our window of opportunity!

Martin,
That is a brilliant shot, and so far, my favourite of the Irish view of the Transit. Well done!

And to think that just down the road from Bray, Wicklow and the sunny south east both saw the transit. We must take note of this for any future event. Congratulations to all.

Thank you for your news, Seanie. I think our group would have prefered to have your experience rather than the one we had in Bray.
