Fairly clear skies as we speak, moon is in and out between the clouds, hoping to see Panstarrs tonight

Went up the Military Road, with the whole family. Didn't spot the comet.
But I took a couple of photos as I was leaving (7.25) and now that I'm home, I can see the comet easily in the images. Here's one:
and a larger one
and a close up of the comet
It's smaller than I expected.
Cheers, Mike

Cheers Paul - now that I'm 'calibrated' I hope to see it visually, and to get better images, when (if) we get another clear night. FWIW the lay-by on the Military Rd overlooking Glenasmole is good, with a clear view to the West.

Shannonside astronomy club held a very successful observing session for this comet this evening, everyone got to see it through telescopes and binoculars, we were absolutely blessed with a perfect horizon and clear skies, although no one was able to see it with the naked eye...
The crescent moon was super aswell. !!!

I saw it from Slademore with Derek Buckley and Stephen from Boards.
It was quite difficult spot at first but once we had seen it it was quite easy to track.
I tried a few photos but with no luck.
