Feedback wanted - Preliminary look at Version 3 of website

OK, I've been spending a lot of time at this behind the scenes but haven't wanted to share it with people yet because I didn't think it was together enough untill today.

THIS IS NOT FINISHED but my imagination has hit a bit of a roadblock so I'd appreciate some feedback at this stage to drive the project on a bit more. All constructive feedback is welcome but ONLY constructive feedback please!

For those of you who care it's 100% XHTML1.0 compliant and 100% CSS2.1 compliant.

Oh yea, meant to add, this has ONLY been tested in FireFox because I don't have access to Internet Exploder here at home but it should work fine on IE because I've avoided using the bits of the CSS Box Model that IE buggers up.

Only suggestion I would have is to tone down the green a little. Maybe have the panes with the orion map background in the same light blue as the middle bit?

For some sites I have designed, they have appeared better in Firefox than in IE, so go for it!
