Maybe,
but anyone interested will find it worth it to put in the 12 club meetings for the year, how hard can it be ??
for instance, If I knew that Culb A were having a meeting this week about something of interest and they were only an hour or two away, I might go to it ??
Im just not bothered searching through all the seperate clubs websites to look it up .

That would be down to the members here who regularly post such events anyway for their clubs. Maybe a list of persons responsible for updating the calendar? Example, I would have a password to actually get in to add/change the calendar of TAS events, but maybe not anyone else of TAS...
...something like that?

The hard part will be persuading people to keep the calendar updated.

Exactly, maybe a selected person form each club.

Why not start with the regulars who do such posting?

And another thing... (without wanting to bother starting another thread)
There should be a simple skynotes page someplace.
It should be in html so people dont have to download something to view it.
As a basis it could use the monthly sky-notes from sky-high or perhaps JohnF could elaborate the notes from Arcturus.
Then any additional comets etc. could be added to it also.
This could be somewhat wiki based where the main text would be from sky-high/arcturus, and then as something comes up in the observing topics they could be added, along with starmaps etc. Since I dont think that would be too much work I volunteer for adding the aditional text if its technically feasable.

The map is always time correct and can be se tup for, say birr, so correct for most of Ireland.
