Feedback on the new site

Folks - is there anything you can do with the forum font? It really doesn't seem to handle letter spacing very well and I sometimes find it hard to read. And I can't change it within the browser...

For comparison, the font in the menubar to the left is much clearer and spacing between individual characters is much better.

Why are the ads mostly for Tullamore?

Hey guys - new site is pretty nice. Like most things about it.

Was wondering though. When you go to "Show latest posts", and you click a topic that's been updated recently, is there a way to link it so that it goes to straight to the newest post, rather than the start of the topic? Or am I just missing something?

Folks - a couple of issues you might take a look at:

1. Why do we have a "classifieds" section and a "for sale" forum?

2. I couldn't find a way of editing a classified I had posted.

Hi Dave,

We eventually want to get rid of the "For Sale" section in the forum. We will remove in the future.
To edit an Ad, go into "My Profile" and click on the "My Ads" tab, you should be able to edit your classified from there.

Some feedback on the new site from abroad..
While on holiday a few weeks ago I could not log on to the site.
I tried the internet in the reception (2 PC's) and both
took about (no joke) 10 min to load and then at that some of the text was overlapping and unreadable.
I went to an internet cafe and the same happened.
I tried all the other sites I normally use and they were fine.
I found this a humongus pain in the ass I have to say.
Again sorry for saying sorry but the older site was better.
Oh,
and all the stuff on the side?
the user blogs / articles etc?
there are a lot of FAQ's pop up on the boards all the time.
Eg Beginners asking about what to buy, webcam, photography, dark sky stuff?
Is there a way of putting any of the 'greatest hits' questions up in there?
I dunno,
the boards ARE the site as far as I'm concerned.
I mean, it's up and running now (the new site) yes?
But the main sections are as dead as doorknobs.
Or am I missing something?
