Maby another Aurora tonight was created by Conor
AURORA ALERT: Sunspot 798 exploded twice yesterday, August 22nd, and hurled a pair of coronal mass ejections (CMEs: #1, #2) toward Earth. Geomagnetic storms are possible when the clouds arrive on August 23rd and 24th. Sky watchers, particularly those in Alaska and Canada, should be alert for auroras

I took a couple of basic digital pics of the sun last Sat. using my new Thousand Oaks Type 2+ filter.
There were 3 sunspots on view, a pair located together ~ one third way across the sun's face. I believe it might have been this one that I saw.
Am, still have to look at (the probably east job) of downloading them here.

coruscations attending the whole length of the luminosity, giving to the phenomena the aspect of a wrathful messenger, and not that of a tranquil body pursuing a harmless course..comet of 1680

The BBC reckon there is a small chance the sky might clear before dawn after this storm passes so if anyone sets there alarm clock for that time then we may have a chance of clear sections in the sky but of course one never knows with these things.
Keep an eye out anyhow
