We did it for the Perseids barbeque last August out at our observatory/site. Many members have 4-person tents and so on. TAS will supply the barbeques, We'll have a camp fire, and a smaller fire for Bill's soup cauldren!
Is the "car park" going to be big enough if lots turn up? It would be tight with more than half a dozen cars.
I'll be down camping again for the persieds regardless! And I'll remember to bring oil to fry breakfast in so we don't have boiled sausages this time!
Cheers,
~Al

We hope to get that bloody car park filled in and levelled on the first weekend on March. We have put aside €450 for a couple loads of gravel, and hire of a mini-digger for the day. It should be well able to accommodate about 17 to 20 cars in that area alone when finished!
And a Perseids barbeque will definitely be on the books again. Had a great time last year, and I'd love to see you cook a proper breakfast this time Al!

Why not just have a BBQ, some beer, and observing into the wee hours, and crash out in the tent afterwards?
While we're at it, we could start a camp fire, cook some marsh mallow, and have a sing along
Seriously, though, As for Armagh, I'd like to go there, its a heafty journey, but I would go there if we all decided to go.
Regarding Tullamore, are we talking about the Tullamore observatory site??
