Seanie,

Good luck with the weekend. I was trying to re-organise a few things to get down but EAAS have the eclipse watch on the 3rd and that means I have used up all my Brownie points (ie wifes weekend out) for the following weekend.

Strike a different bargain with her, like giving her the following 2 weekends off! :D

That would be the perfect solution to ensure that those 2 weekends would have clear skies and perfect seeing conditions. Sorry but I would have to slit my wrists if that happened, though I might have to sacrifice the cat to the weather gods for some clear sky.

Just checked the Met Office and clear skies are forecast on Friday. The cat is safe till then but it looks like the usual eclipse trend of clear skies the night before and total cover during the event.

I have a cat too... would you think if we sacrificed both of them the weather gods might be a bit more accommodating? :D

I suppose it depends on what the going rate (Cats per Clear Sky Hours) for a cat is . Mine is a bit on the scrawny side so it may only be worth a couple of hours. Mind you some of the other cats that come sniffing around the house at all hours in the morning I will sacrifice for free.
