Well, Dave demanded the sound-system for his talk, along with a comprehensive lighting rig.
The shock came when he asked for a bottle of bourbon, a stool, and one of these

The talk was great, but the karaoke was better!

It's light, powerful and folds up so it can be carried in one hand.

Thats so amazingly small, the only thing is that we need 3 inputs, 2 for mics and one for the laptop..

What you have now is over-powered for what you need, unless you're planning on running discos or open-air events, in which case it'd be good for those.

Now there's the statement of the century, Every year I'm just waiting for U2 or the Corrs to come in and do a midday Saturday lunch gig.

That's exactly what it has.
The first two are XLR/jack inputs for microphones.
The third is a set of two RCA phono inputs for CD, tape, minidisc, Ipod or laptop output. The two inputs are summed to a mono signal, so you get both stereo channels combined.

You think that's a big system, Dave? I know a band who use over ten times that----for practising in a room!
Mind you, if the Corrs come in, I'll be happy to twiddle knobs.
Tell Jim to go to the pub, though.

Thats exactly the kind of system I had in mind Eamonn.
Thanks for seconding the opinion.
I have to say I laughed when I say the size of the PA the first year.
I actually it was the hotels.
When I found out the club had bought it I was thinkin...
''Jeasus, are we going to do karaoke in between the speakers or something!?''

Next step is to see how much we can flog the PA we have for...
