Congratulations Congratulations Congratulations!!!!

Its really terrific to see Dave ( and DaveMc a few weeks ago) finally get the payoff they deserve. great that it has happened to two guys who have been nothing but an asset to the forum to beginners, patiently answering questions sharing all their experience and knowledge. Couldn't happen to nicer and more deserving guys.

Hopefully this is just the tip of the iceberg for you guys.

This is fantastic news and heartiest congratulations to Dave.

The work of the two Daves has really put our little country at the forefront of the astronomical world.

Programming today is a race between software engineers striving to build bigger and better programs, and the universe trying to produce bigger and better idiots. So far, the universe is winning.

The elements for 2008 US3 are now available on the MPC ephemeris page.

Navigate to www.cfa.harvard.edu/iau/mpc.html

Choose the "minor planet & comet ephemeris service" option

Type 2008 US3 into the text box. At the bottom of the page, select the MPC 8 line format and also check the "show residuals blocks" option.

The page returned will show orbit elements and data on where the asteroid will be. In addition you will see the measurements submitted by Dave Grennan. The asterisk next to J41 denotes the discovering observatory.
