Hi Folks,

Just booked myself into the Burren Coast Hotel. Hope to see many of you there. Looks like it will be an exciting weekend!

Hopefully weather will be good. Maybe I will join as well.

I am sometimes observing at Burrens over evenings (I live in Galway city). If anyone would like to join at May or June give me ring: 0857884401. I have 150mm refractor and set of Naglers.

Hi Janek.
We in SAC try to make it up there as often as we can.

In fact we were on the point of going up there the other night
but we held off as the satellite images showed cloud coming in from the West.
(When don't they!? :silly: )
But when the weather plays ball its awesome.

Keep an eye on our boards as we sometimes call a session up there;
shannonsideastronomyclub.com/phpBB2/viewforum.php?f=8
but more often than not we just send out a text message to our
club members to say we are going.

I can let you know the next time we decide to head up if
you are willing?

Frank, Do we need to be booking B&B's this far in advance??

Hey and why are all Irish events B&B orientated anyway?? :D . Why no camping events. Are we Irish astronomers Softies that need our home comforts. The lads across the water in the UK have loads of camping starparties like the USA.

There is always the option of bringing a tent if you want. Personally, I prefer a warm bed after a long night observing. Although camping is a good way of ensuring SWMBO stays at home:P
