Burren Starparty 26th Sept 2009

That's not a photo of camping, that's caravanning. Proper campers use tents - which is why I don't do it any more.

maybe they should have taken the picture when there were
a few tents pitched there as well..

Whatever about camping at a park like that,
I'd agree that camping out in the Burren somewhere would be cool
but it is very dangerous terrain and I have both broken an ankle
and my coccyx on two separate occasions hiking up there.
(yes, I fell and broke my arse)

There is another site fairly close at Fanore beach,
I've camped there a few times and it's a really nice spot.

For those coming down for the starparty,
there are now some nice prizes up for grabs for the raffle.

Would it be inappropriate for me to buy alot of tickets for the draw, I'm aiming for that camera :laugh:!

The draw is open to all...
as it has been for the last 20 odd years...

Obviously I can't buy any as I will be running it
and getting one of the speakers to draw the tickets...
But my wife plans to win that camera!

BTW - the way there is no first second third prize etc...
Basically if your ticket gets pulled you get a choice of what's on offer...
and you need to physically be there to claim it.
If a ticket gets pulled and nobody is around to shout mine,
another gets pulled.
So make sure it be in the room when the draw is taking place!

What if I gave me tickets to a friend as I have to leave, would that work or do I really have to be in the room for the draw ?
