P.S. to the above post.
Quite a few of our members are attending Astronomy Night Classes at WIT on Thursday nights, so we will take a few scopes with us on Thursday 22nd and, weather permitting, hold an informal 'Galilean Nights' event at 9.30pm after the class finishes.

OK now all bar one event is now visible on the Galilean Nights website at the moment.

Weather is looking hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm ish maybe ish Ireland is such a gamble for pre planned public events. Lets keep a tight eye on the forecast and hope for the best.

If anyone knows of events that are happening and not registered let me know asap. Thanks.
Oh and don't forget to spend some money on info leaflets about your club or ink to print them or some outreach material and send me the receipts.

Kerry Astronomy Club will, weather permitting, hold another public observing event at the Tralee Aquadome carpark. It will take place on the first clear night from Thursday 22nd of October to Saturday night (24th).

It is a Free Public Star Party, part of the global event, the Galilean Nights an International Year of Astronomy 2009 Cornerstone Project.

Weather permitting we will have a selection of telescopes to show our Moon, the planet Jupiter, the four Galilean moons and perhaps more to all who drop by from 8:00 pm till 10:30. Everyone welcome.
