I have to ask guys, I was doing a search on Googlemaps to find the Dolmen Carpark, and there are 6 listings. Is your one the one IN Ballyvaughn? Googlemaps won't show GPS co-ords, so I can't compare them.

Hi Seanie,
Have a look at
www.irishastronomy.org/about/ifas-maps?task=viewmap&mapId=2
The observing site is by the dolman, a few miles south east of BallyVaughan, on the road to Kilfenora.
We'll be in BallyVaughan this evening, so we'll probabily all head up there if the weather co-operates.
Its actually very clear at the moment, but who knows if it'll hold up.

There are co-ordinate somewhere, but I dont have them.

Seanine,
all three places are shown in Google maps on the

Old news now Frank, but thanks for the reply. I took a drive up ton the tomb this morning on my way out of Ballyvaughan. Very nice, remote, classic-Irish location. Got some nice shots and close-ups out there, but I'll have to come down again for an observing session and try my own dolmen against the stars shot.
