Spotted it this morning on my way out fishing around 7:40am! A nice sight, in a really clear dawn sky - lovely!

Hi Seanie,
Are you sure it was not Jupiter, as Comet McNaught was 11 degrees below the horizon from Dublin at the time you quote of 7.40am (and even further below the horizon from Tullamore).

Yeah, this was brought to my attention via PM... :oops: It's possible that is what I saw alright. It was simply a bright dot, and with the light haze that was present, I assumed I just couldn't see the 'tail'!
