Lidl watch

It's that time of year again... I was in Lidl's this evening and they are already starting to stock up on Christmas fare, so any week now a telescope bargain may appear.

Maybe this year it be a CGE scope :lol:

I could be persuaded to buy a series 5000 80mm ED. And I can think of one or two people who might be interested in a Lightbridge

Lidl are offering the LXD75 N6-AT again on Thursday 8th of November, price €599.

(OK, I know that replying to my own post seems a little odd, but I want to separate my comments from the date of sale info)

I already have one of those and when I've used it, unlike many others it worked for me. But I find the time and effort of setting up the LXD75 mount is too much wasted observing time if you've only got a short window or the clouds are rolling in (in other words most nights of the year), so I've invested in a Giro II AltAz mount, which can handle the N6-AT tube and is also usable with all of my other scopes.
