Lidl watch

Hi all,
Someone in work who is a non-astronomer has seen this Lidl offer and is considering buying one. Is this the 6 inch Schmidt Newt with GoTo or the 6 inch Newt with the tracking but no Go-To? He would like Go-To so he was asking me about it, but I wasn't sure.
Neill
It's an N6-AT so it's a GoTo. The one with the motors but without the Autostar #497 unit is called an LXD75 N6-EC.
Really?
No Autostar this year?
It was in the package last year along with the CD Rom and Cable.
Are you sure it's not?

Neill, this one is the same as mine - it's a 6" Newt without the Schmidt corrector but with the #497 controller - it's no longer the case that the Newtonian only comes with the Electronic Controller as in years past.

I was explaining that the model without Autostar is the N6-EC. The one in Lidl is an N6-AT, therefore it does have Autostar.

If you really wanted to be perverse you could replace the Autostar handset on an LXD75 with an EC handset and it would work, but not nearly as well.
