heres a thought, why dont you buy a new one, and if it works return the old one under their no quibble guarantee. If it doesn't work hold onto the better of the two
Cheers

Sorry lads wont be able to do that for a number of reasons
i'm 16 years old and i dont have a job so getting that kind money would be a bit of hassle.
I'd prefer to send the scope back to get it fixed or get someone from meade to come out to the house.
It's alot of hassle.
Good idea though

I'm having a little bit of trouble aligning the LXD 75,
When i have it aligned and i want to go to a selected object, it slews to it but it doesn't show up in the eyepiece. I have to find it with the finderscope and then go to it myself. Surely thats not the point of having a computerised 'scope is it.
Any ideas?

Could be a number of reasons. How far out are your gotos actually?
Check time, date and loction settings, daylight saving time setting,
Have you trained the drives? Which alligning stars did you use, the further apart the better.
Low battery power can cause this problem also.
Hope this helps
