Just use a terrestial object - chimney pot, tv aerial etc. The handset gives reasonable instructions - it consists of moving away from an object then moving back to it a few times, the object being for the computer to measure the slop in the gears and compenaste for it.

Hi
Before you train make sure that you calibrate the motors first.
You must train your scope in the day time on a terestrial object only.
It is important that it is not tracking anything. Make sure also that befre you are asked to slew down (DEC) that you centre the refeence object by slewing DOWN and before you are asked to slew left (RA) that you centre the reference object by slewing LEFT.
Hopefully this will be sorted out on the next clowdy night leaving the clear ones for observing.
