You can take it that Meade do not have a choice, obviously they're production and shipping costs are too high, and you can expect that they will have quality issues for the next couple of years, with starting up again at another location.

I don't want to dance on it's grave, but since when have Meade not had quality issues? It seems to me that the company has consistently had a reputation not only for quality issues but for handling them very poorly (at least in the US, comments about European support seem to have been more positive).

I don't know Roland personally but I have one of his mounts and can attest to the quality being of the highest order.

I have TWO of his mounts and can confirm your observation!
