oh yes. I just removed the little plate underneath the clampshell. The clampshell is held onto the mounting plate with two screws. 2 sec job to remove or put back on.

Cool, must pull my Skylux out from under the bed tomorrow. Would love to motorize it for tracked wide angle shots as well.

Michael i'm using a sigma 10-20mm a canon 18-55mm
a canon 90-300mm and a tamron 55-200mm.I bought
the tamron because it looked like a bargain i think 130
euro.I have yet to try it for Astrophotography but from
the few terrestrial shots i have taken it looks pretty sharp.
The sigma is an ultra wide angle lens i have to say i love it ,
about 500 euro but worth every penny, great for wide field
shots.I've recently purchased a Williams Optics 66mm SD
APO as a guide scope but i think the 400d with the H-Alpha
filter attached to it also will turn it into a nice little wide field
set up.

oh wise man why is the universe so perfect?ah because symmetry loves herself.
