Naaa, not at all...and they say there are no ads on this site...!!!
BTW thanks for that. If the adaptor is threaded, surely that's the best way to go.
Dave:
Am...what exactly does the IR filter do for this :
Clarity & quality I presume, same as for the D300.

The toucam is able to detect infrared light, try pressing a button one of your remote controls and point it at the camera, you'll see the infrared LED transmitter on the remote blinking on the computer screen. Your eyes are not able to see this light, the toucam is.
The problem arises when you try to use the camera on planets, as the planets are "warm" they emmit and reflect infrared, the camera sees this and this tends to swamp/blur the image, you loose finer detail.
So, attaching the IR blocking filter stops this light reaching the camera, so this makes the image more details and contrasty.
The filter is a 1.25 inch filter, it screws onto the bottom of the adapter, or any eyepiece if want to use one.
Interesting the canon 300D suffers the opposite effect, its bandwidth does not fully reach into the visible red region.

Much of a difference Dave? Got any comparison pics? Sounds like a great idea...

Gotcha Dave.
And what about getting this working?
What of the software?
I just don't know the process of capturing the image on PC.
But I'm delighted I can use it with the dob., as exposure times will be so short with an unmodified cam. (C. Ref. Dave Grennan's thread on modifying cams for long exps).
