Blooka - just noticed that you can click on the image and see it larger than life - well almost.
You've certainly nailed focus - that's a lovely crisp image with lots of detail.
What did you process it with? A bit of messing around will make that image into one of the best lunar shots on this board!
Just for comparison (and I'm really not blowing my own trumpoet here - just giving you a comparison) have a look at my mosaic:
www.astroshack.net/gallery/solarsys/moon.php
I know that mine is a much younger moon and so I didn't have to content with a really bright object - but if you can get those kind of 'levels' in your image, you'll have cracked it.
Processing is probably harder than imaging so don't despair.
Cheers
Dave

Hi Dave
I used psp to process it but all i did was sharpen it a little.
This is the original colour shot which i think looks better
img357.imageshack.us/my.php?image=moon6jm.jpg
but could i improve it more?
Is it still overexposed?
I`m not very good with all this processing stuff, need more practice
I would like to print it off with it being my first proper attempt at a lunar shot.
But looks like it could use a lot of black ink though LOL
cheers

Hi Dave
That is a great improvement,
An easy way to get rid of the yellow colour is to convert to image to a black&white aka greyscale in photoshop.
Also, if the detail in the moon image is high, then I'd cut out (crop) alot of the black sky out so that the moon fills the screen more.

Excellent! As Dave L says, change it to mono and crop it. Lovely!
