We shall not cease from exploration
And the end of all our exploring
Will be to arrive where we started
And know the place for the first time. . . .

Replied by bird on topic Thanks!
Thanks for the warm welcome , I'll try and participate here regularly as much as my day job and other activities allow
My capture and scope control setup is all linux based, it's another of my projects as I'm a Linux programmer by day. Image processing is done with a combination of Linux and Windows tools, including ninox, registax, astra image and the Gimp.
ninox is my own software swiss-army-knife of image fiddling, designed to fill in some gaps and problems in registax. I use it to pre-centre my images, adjust gamma, resample images up to a larger size etc before I load the images into registax. It's a cross platform piece of software, runs under Linux and Windows.
www.acquerra.com.au/astro/software/ninox/
These images above were all captured with a sequence of 50 seconds in each of R,G,B @ 40 fps, f/40. The seeing was very good, we often get really good seeing around this part of Australia in autumn.
Thanks again for the welcome, I'll try and visit here each day.
regards, Bird
