What Anto needs to do is give up imaging and take up knitting.... Oh, and I'll give him a fair secondhand, "the world economy is in the toilet" price for his kit.
Heck Anto, I'll even send you two balls of Aran wool and two size 12 needles. And as a deal clincher, I'll throw in a crochet needle for free

If you have a chance, take a peek at the histograms. If we lower the background and/or the overall lighting, we will clip the histograms.
I am quite sure about the levels being just right. I hate asking but any possibility your monitor being off? Do you have a second laptop/computer screen to take a second peek and see if there is a difference?
Anthony.

I already have this one on my list of outstanding clusters to visit.There's almost too many to list Anthony, but, on our last observing session, I managed to observe four real beauties;
NGC1647 in Taurus (near the Hyades)
I have a shot of this one but it sucks! Take a peek and don't laugh too hard: www.perseus.gr/Astro-DSO-NGC-1502.htm ... it is already on my list for a revisit and this time I will use my Mewlon 210 (twice the focal length of my AP160 and one-quarter the field).NGC1502 in Camelopardalis. This lies at the "bottom" of Kemble's Cascade, so would make either a good target in itself, or as part of a wider field with the cascade.
The first is also on my list and the second I have but it also sucks, thus requiring a revisit under better sky conditions: www.perseus.gr/Astro-DSO-NGC-1528.htmAnd two of my favourites, very different but close together:
NGC1545 and NGC1528 (the magic pentagram), both in Perseus.
NGC 1981 is one incredible cluster and which I shot (testing only) last year: www.perseus.gr/Astro-DSO-NGC-1981.htm ... it is also on my list as an outstanding item to be addressed. Also, with Orion now prominent, there is both NGC1981, just above M42 and the Running Man, and Collinder 72, just below M42.
I have the first one - www.perseus.gr/Astro-DSO-NGC-2168.htm - and which I may reshoot whereas the second is already on my list to do.And last, but most definitely not least, the wonderful M35, with the nearby NGC2158.
I very much appreciate your time and suggestions. They will keep you going for a while.
Here is something which is not normally accessible from my website and is there for my personal use and reference: www.perseus.gr/Astro-DSO-Cluster-Open-Targets.htm .

My ex-buddy Kieran,
I see an arc that looks a lot backer than surrounding areas...
Its a big arc which suggests the offending muck/dust is further out the optic train than the ccd cover glass. Ye might need to clean the filters Anto and update the flats.
The flats are not an issue since I shoot them religiously at the end of each session. The filters have been cleaned very meticulously and I am convinced the problem area is not due to dust. It is way to big.
Anthony.

Exactly. I am convinced it is within the filter and perhaps due to manufacturing. I am actively looking for Baader's CCD RGB filters so that I can go forward with them.Nahh, that's waaaaay to big to even be on the filters (unless they're a good distance from the chip of course).
Is shipping included? What Anto needs to do is give up imaging and take up knitting.... Oh, and I'll give him a fair secondhand, "the world economy is in the toilet" price for his kit.

Baader seem to get the nod as regards quality, for sure.
Free shipping from Ireland to Greece - and hey, I'll pay to have your entire setup shipped here...
By the way - Dave L - I don't see any vignetting on my monitor - the b/g looks really flat to me on both my monitors...
