I had AstroDon's and I sold them last month. They are VERY bad filters ... you should see the reflections they produce throughout the field of view!Interesting - your current filters aren't Astrodon's by any chance?
I have 10+ Baader filters and they are excellent. I am quite actively looking for a set on sale by a fellow amateur. If things do not work out, I will buy them directly.Baader seem to get the nod as regards quality, for sure.
My toys ain't going anywhere! You have no idea how much I treasure them as I do the nights under the starry sky with them.Free shipping from Ireland to Greece - and hey, I'll pay to have your entire setup shipped here...
I am sure the background is fine ... I think Dave is already dipping into the egg nog and we have yet to hit Christmas season. :laugh:By the way - Dave L - I don't see any vignetting on my monitor - the b/g looks really flat to me on both my monitors...

Otherwise, back at it again for the RGB portion.
Waiting in the queue is www.perseus.gr/Astro-DSO-Nebulae-Dark-B33.htm for the RGB portion (180 minutes) to be shot ASAP.

Its a laptop screen, so its never going to be as good as a crt screen.Hi Dave (Lillis), I hate asking but any possibility your monitor being off? Do you have a second laptop/computer screen to take a second peek and see if there is a difference?

That's a superb collection of images, I've bookmarked the site. Would you mind if I maybe use some of those images for my short talks to our society, full credit will be given?
By the way, as usual, I got 1528 and 1545 mixed up. 1545 is the magic pentagram cluster (as named by Stephen James O'Meara), not 1528.
If you don't mind me saying so, your image of 1502 is probably one which could be improved without the spikes (although I think spikes look great). There is a very close pair of bright stars which dominate the cluster, and they have become rather merged together in your image. Apart from that, great stuff.
