I'm in Inishowen, North Donegal, that's a very kind offer, but likely to cost more in diesel to get to you than it would be to buy the 2in adapter If thats what I need I'l have to get it anyways

Do you know how much inward focus you need? As far as I know the lxd newtonians are f5 which would mean that you'll probably get coma (distorted stars) away from the centre of the image when used on the newt so it may be good to get an mpcc anyway. I used to have the same problem on my f5 8 incher back in the day. Dug through some old mails and found some advice from Patrick in Telescope Service:
It was a GSO Newtonian but I'm sure it would be similar with the Meade. There's basically two ways to go. First of all you need a coma corrector. Aside from offering MUCH better image sharpness photographically the corrector also puts the focus point about 10mm further out. Also you can often put the focal plain further out by "aligning" the mirror further up. That is to say, you turn all three collimation-screws counterclockwise, thus moving the mirror further up. Just be careful that you don't go too far, otherwise the mirror cell might get loose.
Might be worth dropping them a line.
Hope that helps.
