Recommended kit to fit Nikon D7000 on to Meade LXD75 6in

Yes I would expect the 2" T-adaptor would give a few mm infocus compared to a 1.25 Tadaptor mounted in a 2" - 1.25" adaptor.
The one on the FLO link looks like a lowish profile one, which is what you want.

compare the knurled section on this one - this is basically holding you out further in the focuser for "chunky" aestethics.
