That's a shame. Non-photo optimised newts are notorious for not having enough backfocus for large chips. The MPCC worked for me. As far as I remember it pushes the focal plain out by 10mm or so. Not sure if that's enough for you.
But there is one other trick that might help - you should be able to move the primary mirror forward a bit in the tube using the collimation screws. There's usually a bit of play in there. I probably got an extra 5mm of play out of my old f5 newt (not an LXD though) and was still able to get decent collimation. Might be worth trying that. I still had to add an mpcc in end though as it still needed to be pushed out by roughly another 5mm.

Hi, sorry is it "in focus" or "out focus" you need?
And you might get a couple of mm on the main mirror up or down as needed.

ok maybe some low profile accessories might get you the in focus you need.
Can you tak e a photo of how it all attaches together. I'm curious if you use a 2" T adaptor or 1.25" for the camera connection.
Pics here:

The 2" adaptor whould have a "lower profile" getting you more infocus over a stacked 2" - 1.25 adaptor with 1.25 T adaptor on this.

Well, then there's hope yet! I have a nikon t-ring and a 2" adaptor if you want to borrow it - where you based? I'm southside Dublin (Dundrum area)
It might give you just enough to do the job.....
