I think it was just the surface material of the exterior being burnt (flames were seen to start growing quite quickly) as you could see the colour of the metal surface changing, as if paint or whatever they have on it was being stripped away

That's one thing I don't miss from South Tipp - cloud. Thankfully not much of a problem here
