They are due to dock saturday frank......ye its great theres still media coverage as Lovell said: "theres nothing routine about spaceflight"
And thats the way it should be it would be sad day if it became small headlines.....launches should always be live, i watched it on the nasa tv it was very good brilliant the way you can watch it up to external tank seperation

Anyone see the pass at about 18:15 to 18:20? It was pretty cloudy here [South central Dublin]. Do we get another go tomorrow, or will it have docked by tomorrow evening does anyone know?
Here's a site that overlays the shuttle's position over Google Earth in real time. Bloody amazing to actually see how quickly it passes over a country.

No but I saw the one at 7;30.
In fact I was shooting it with the scope and webcam
but I bumped the power cable and the red dot finder light went out.
I ended up with one single frame of the ISS (blurred)
Arrraagg!
But it sure was bright all the same.

The shuttle is now docking with the ISS. See it live on NASATV.

Hello from sunny Orlando.
Yes, a fab. site to behold. I can definitely confirm that.
Michael O'Connell & myself were ~12km away from the launch site, but we had a clear view from a bridge looking across the bay.
It was a beautiful day with the sun on our backs as we viewed it.
Though it was hazy, it cleared to give great views at just the right time.
One of the local radio stations was broadcasting the NASA prechecks at each stage as they progressed, so we could listen in to one of the many car radios that were turned up high as we watched.
Could just hear the sound waves from it too, though that water tower beside the launch pad did it's job in dissipating much of the sound.
Pics to follow when we make it back.
