Ah, totally worth it. It's a pity they don't really capture the public's imagination anymore. It's still as spectacular and tense as ever.

Ye for shure i had butterflies in my stomach waiting for it to go imagine what their feeling inside it leading up to the launch must be some mixed emotions
Anyone here ever see a launch??
definately something id like to see before the shuttle retires

No but I came close (missed it by a few days)
Ah well...
I'm actually surprised there is still so MUCH interest in it in the media...
like tonight,
I had the nasa site on the laptop on the tv but inside in the kitchen i could hear the
same broadcast on sky!?
My wife and I both watched it on TV coz the reporters make a bit of a
fuss about it...
No matter how commonplace it seems, sitting on top of a bomb launching
you into space is never commonplace!!!

I was looking at Heavens Above for the times
of the passes of the ISS and Shuttle.
Does anyone know when they are due to dock?
The times look confusing.
(assume I realize they are playing catch up)
but they are way off in some respects.
