In the Shadow of the Earth - Feb 21st Lunar Eclipse

5 mins til the start and not a moon in sight. Think i'll set my alarm for 2:50am and have a look then.

There looks to be scrappy clear weather heading in from the West
rather fast, I'd say another hour or so and we should all be getting
some patches of lovelyness.

that's my thinking also, I'm waiting for the midnight satellite image to appear, we'll know more then.
A nice image Michael, the sat image is showing some clear skies in Kerry, sounds like I'm reading it correctly given your image.

I think you are winding me up Frank, no gaps here and I'm only 12 miles from you ?

Unless i am sleeping right now this is all a dream, the clouds have vanished almost completely in the last 30 mins and there is a halo around the moon abou 7 inch in diameter from the centre.

I have NEVER seen such a thing. It is actually surreal.
