the very southern tip of Kerry might get some small gaps looking at the moving cloud patterns on this site

Anyone up for a road trip to Kerry?

If we leave right now we should get there by midnight.

LOL.

Hurray !!!

I can see the moon rising. Its HUGE. Some pretty good looking breaks in the clouds.

6 hrs from now may be a different story.

I can see the moon through high wispy cloud here, weather maps indicate a denser cloud band heading in, I'm guessing it'll pass by 1am.

Same conditions here Dave. Lets hope keeps up or gets better.

Hopefully by 3AM (the magic hour) conditions will be perfect to get a few snaps.

I dont think i will use the scope tonight. I think i'll just use the bins and have a camera mounted on tripod and fire off a few hundred shots and then pick the best of a bad bunch.

I've been learning more about what works best on my cam.............so fingers crossed if conditions allow.......................i should get some middle of the road images.

Oh and lets not forget...........tonight is much milder then the nights we have been having of late................so not much of a dew problem on lens.
