no, I don't have one, but if you look it up on google earth, you'll find it easily enough, so a few of us in the club had a chat and this is what we're doing.
We're all meeting up at Hassetts cross, near Thomond park in Limerick, and leaving there at 2.30am, we're driving by convoy as Simon knows the place very well.
Having been on this site in the past it is a remarkable site cos of its height, you could go to a point where you could see down to and see city lights of Limerick in one direction and portlaoise in the other, if its cloud free we'll have a clear view half ways across the country.
but thats a big IF !

That's grand Dave. Ya, I know the mountain & have posted a google earth shot of it on our club FB page.
I was just hoping you might know the exact spot we are going seeing as you were up there before but if Simon knows then that's fine.
See ye all at 2:30! :woohoo:

The six o'clock weather states that there may be sunny spells, even if we only get some brief looks it will be worth it.

If I get 2 seconds worth of a glimpse and one shot of it then I'll be happy.
Its a pity though Jonathan, I was looking forward to the trip up to Garran point and meeting you all.
we're not as organised though, no bbq or camping out.

Where are you seeing the transit, Paul? Valerie and I are going to Bray with Deirdre.
