It's being reported as being as bright as magnitude 5.4 at the moment Deirdre, hopefully skies will clear tonight.
It's not too often we get to see a nova this reasonably bright !

This is too good to be true. I must get out the apo to find it the next clear night. It appears to be easy to find by using Sagitta. This constellation seems to point to the Nova in an easterly direction. Double star Theta Sagittae is very nearby also.

Shot taken at 2306UT August 15th, I estimate it now at magnitude 4.8, it's still rising and easy to see naked eye now.
Let's see if it gets even brighter, there is a discussion over at the AAVSO as to see whether it will get brighter.
