Hi John,
Hope you are keeping well. David Grennan got a very good spectrograph of the galactic nova. The results for a two minute exposure are staging. The spectrograph is on his Facebook page.

Has anyone else observed Nova Delphini 2013? Apart from John O'Neill, Keith, David Grennan and myself? It is sad we have so many cloudy nights, including tonight Monday!

I wish more people would Aubrey, but it's cloudy over Ireland again tonight
Latest now is it's fading slightly to about magnitude 5.1 or so.

Hi Keith. Just remind me, what county are you based? I'm in south Dublin.
I have all my maps ready for the next clear night. I would love to see the Nova one more time. I find star hopping from Sagitta the easiest to the Nova's location.
Isn't it a pity this year's bright comets aren't visible in this area of sky?
Still 5.1 magnitude would be lovely to see. I have been on www.skyandtelescope.com for the last couple of days. And there are literally 100's of other observers worldwide giving estimates of the magnitude!!
Aubrey.

Hi Aubrey, I am based now in the dark skies of County Cavan. Yes, star hopping from Sagitta is easy, but not so easy to move those clouds again, and yes it is fading slightly, now reported at about magnitude 5.2 or so.
But nova are strange beasts and it may rise again yet ! here's hoping
Regarding the comets, hopefully ISON will put on quite a show later this year, athough it is fainter than expected at the moment, fingers crossed.

Hey Keith. Just got my 2nd view of Nova Delphini. Used magnifications 11X, 40X and 112X. Getting fainter now -perhaps 6.0 magnitude.
Finished the night off with double -double Gamma Delphini and Struve 2725. Both doubles in the same field of view at 40X and 112X. My wife Valerie was most impressed.
