That made me shiver, it sounds like the Bart Simpson defence, "it was like that when I got here".

Perhaps they believe that people will go away when they see the long process they have to go through to get their money back.

I don't know if Telescope-Service have had any other complaints about Oops, it would be interesting to find out.

Its good that you let us know about this Paul,
Miraculously, I've never lost any equipment with these people, only through good luck it seems.

I had an incident with GLS once. To cut a long story short it involved an eyepiece going from New York to Germany to Ireland back to Germany back to New York over again to Germany on to Greece and finally my house! :) I laugh at it now, but was very frustrating at the time!!

I have never had any damaged stuff turn up but when I bought the H16 ccd it was delivered by City Link based in Aldergrove airport. Normally drivers take stuff back to the depot when no one is in the house. This one left it sitting at the back door. £3000 plus worth of gear sitting outside for 5 hours with no signed delivery note I was well p***ed off. They did the same with my CG5GT mount even after I complained the first time.

Kieran,
That's mad! That reminds me of when I got my Pentax dropped off at a house 5 doors up the road!

When I lived in Belfast they would always leave an unable to deliver note through the door but out in the stix they think its OK just to drop it outside the house so how could they protect themselves against any damage liability.
When I was in the city my best moment was the day of my second childs birth. My wife went into labour at 3am and a wee girl was born at about 3pm. I picked up my other daughter and went home only to find an undelivered note re my 10" LX200. I jumped into the car with my wee girl and headed to the airport, picked up the scope and when I was sending out e mails to friends and family re new baby I put in the photos of the scope.(and the baby, I am not completely mad)
