The "Tain" (the Irish book which is the oldest work of written literature north of the Alps)

Everybody knows that Ogham is a coded form of the Roman Alphabet.

As a nation we don't seem to think things through a lot.
On the one had we celebrate the old Irish Astronomers and claim their great achievements as our own. On the other had we hail their destroyer as a hero who brought civilisation .... despite him having ended the civilisation we so celebrate when it suits us. Just a slight lack of joined up thinking there no?
