NEWSFLASH:Dave McDonald discovers Asteroid 2008TM9 was created by michaeloconnell
Breaking News!
I'm just off the phone from Dave McDonald where he informed me that he has discovered a new asteroid! Designated 2008TM9, he imaged the object on Tuesday night and followed it up with a confirmation image on Wednesday night. 2008TM9 was imaged at mag.+19.9! Dave mentioned that Dave Grennan and Andreas Doppler helped cross-check the calculations.
On behalf of IFAS I would congratulate Dave, a fellow member of Midlands Astronomy Club (formerly TAS), on this discovery. It's great to see his hard work has finally paid off! Well done Dave!!
I understand that an announcement is due to take place at Dublin Castle at 2pm by Leo Enright. We'll post more details as soon as we have them.
Regards,
Michael O'Connell
IFAS Chair.

Congratulations Dave.
If the asteroid hits the earth do you have to pay for the damage
