I just want to say a big thank you to all the guys & girls at the Galway Astronomy club. Joan and I had a great time Ray & Trish also asked me to pass on there best. Everything was great about the event speakers, hotel, food the BEER. It was great to meet up with all the lads and the girls too. The late night drinking sessions was great fun my jaw is still sore from all the jokes. Looking forward to meeting you all again soon.
Carl.

Just like to second everything that was said about the GAC event. It was a great weekend in Galway in many ways from learning new things, networking with other amateur astronomers and the sheer enjoyment of the social aspect. It was really great to meet with people that share the same enthusiasm. The lectures and talks (Carl and Dave, at the end of the evening were truly excellent and very funny indeed. A big thanks for sharing exclusive behind the scenes of the Sky at Night program team and indeed about the man himself, Patrick Moore), I am still recovering from laughing too much at it all!
Respect indeed to Ronan and all concerned in organising what was a memorable and enjoyable experience, looking forward to next years event and continued success to GAC!
Clear skies everyone

I'd like to also say a big well done to Ronan and all in GAC
for putting on a great event.
I'm gutted I had to 'wash n' go' but foreign lands beckoned that evening for me.
I'm especially gutted I didn't get to have a few late night brews with O Beirnes and the lads.
Next time defo!

Better that old people should die of talk than to have young people die in war.

It was my first time at a weekend event and I'm sold. I definitely intend to do that again. Well done to all concerned.
