As an afterthought for those of us who can't make the visit, will there be any way of recording the workshops and keeping handouts for the rest of us? After spending money in the last few years on a DSLR, add-ons, lenses, fixtures and fittings, it would still be nice to be shown how to get the most out of them and to use associated software for processing, etc.

Seanie.

We are examining the option of recording the day on a video camera and providing a video of the day along with the talks and sample images on a DVD afterwards. However, it obviously won't be as good as attending the event itself in person.

Hi Folks,

The time has come to start taking payment for the course.

On the front page of the IFAS website www.irishastronomy.org is a "Donate" button on the RHS of the screen.
We would apreciate if you could click this button and follow the on-screen instructions.
Payment can ba accepted either via your Paypal account or by credit card.
The instructions on-screen are pretty clear.
FWIW, we don't get any records of your credit cards - Paypal processes all these independently.

Just remember:
In the "Amount" box, remember to put in €20 for each person who wishes to attend. If you are paying for three people, put in €60 etc.

FWIW, after the expenses of the day are covered, any surplus funds raised go towards IFAS.

If you have any queries, please do not hesitate to ask.

Regards & Thanks,

Michael & Dave Mc.

That's true, but I'd really prefer to be there in person, but can't. There might be a few other like that too... It would also be good for the archives!
