All jokes aside.

Its CHOW DA

No seriously..
Lads n lasses.
Look..
It's always a gamble going observing.
Bigger still if you organize an event around a
specific date... especially in this country!
But shur... all we can do is try... right!?

I mean,
if your into the hobby and especially visual observing or photography I personally guarentee that if the conditions are
right then you'll have an awesome night.
It's just the chance you take.
So to cover the bet,
we are holding some interesting talks during the day on Saturday.
Dare I say it,.,
the talks are secondary to what we are trying to achieve here.
We just don't want people coming form far afield and if it's cloudy to be bummed out.
So..
lets just hope for clear skies and if not alt least we will have a
good days talks and hopefully a great nights craic in the Burren.
(and by Craic I don't mean bones in the dark falling down hills)

:woohoo:

Hi All,
Club website has been updated with finialised run down of this years BSP
www.shannonsideastronomyclub.com/sac_burren_starparty.htm
PLEASE NOTE THE CHANGE OF VENUE FROM THE BURREN COST HOTEL TO LOGUES LODGE HOTEL, still in Ballyvaughan.

Also, I believe Logues Lodge has put on a special rate for people attending the BSP, Friday and Saturday night B&B + dinner on Saturday evening (see below) for 90e per person, if booking please mention youre there for the starparty to get the rate. These rooms are selling fast, so ring them asap if you want one of these rooms.

Due to popular demand, the hotel will be putting on a dinner at 5pm on Saturday evening, you must book this at the hotel reception yourself, SAC are not organising the dinner in any way, we have asked the hotel to expect an influx of people at this time since a number of people mentioned the lack of a big dinner in 2009, so we feel this is he most convenient way of doing it, its open to everyone attending the BSP and not just people staying overnight in the hotel.

Any questions, just ask.

ps, if you want to do some reminiscing on previous years starparties, have a look at the following link.
