Not to worry Seanie, I had superb clear skies, and I still could not see it with 15x70mm binoculars at 6.45am
Even though I could clearly see even Mercury

Same here, no way could I see it in any way this morning, I think its gone until after its encounter with the sun,
Turns out NASA's solar fleet has picked it up today.

Would a DSLR have picked it up on a wide shot I wonder? Going to try from Dundalk Coastline tomorrow morning....

Difficult, but it just might get it very low down. Good luck with it !

Hi,
I am a bit late getting back. Clouds got in the way for me too for the last few days!
My last observation was on 2013 Nov 18 at 06.15 UT. Even though the sky was clear, the Comet ISON was
a difficult object (just 7 degrees high) in my 12x36 binoculars. However, the moon was very bright and twilight had started.
I made it mag 5.3: and DC=6. All in all very unimpressive.
As the comet was only 1 degree high this morning at mid-twilight (sun 9 deg below horizon), the comet is probably gone from view
until after perihelion.

Well two mornings and two no-go! Clouds on the Eastcoast on both occasion :bricks:
So now let's hope it survives Sun pass-by!
