if this is true, then perihelion is going to be very interesting,
Looks like the comet might do what the rugby team did with the all blacks on saturday, have a optimistic promising first half only to be followed with nothing in the second half. :bricks: maybe...

Hopefully its not breaking up !

Its all confusing really,
one theory is that the big outburst a few days back was the nucleus breaking up and now that it has happened, the hydrogen cyanide emissions have ceased, hence the reduction of gas output,
but if the core has disintegrated, would this not have exposed other surface areas which would release further gas ?
So maybe the current gas reduction is simply caused by a vein of subsurface material been exhausted ?
who knows, too many unknown variables here, I'm hoping the core is still intact, we'll soon know......
