me too, i thought that they would all be gone also when i got there particularly when i saw people walking out the door with them. happy that they werent all gone. will be very handy for those quick observations on marginal nights.

I expected a big queue tbh, I was panicing when I was stuck in traffic at 8.10.. .
But all was ok in the end

I was at Lidl in Moore Street at 7:55 this morning. It was the biggest gathering of astronomers I've seen since Whirlpool! There were maybe 15 people in the queue, and only 2 or 3 of them weren't there for the scopes!

Got mine at about 1030 in finglas and there were about 15 left on pallet. Also plenty of Skylux available. No queue or panic. Parnell St sold out at 0945.
It should rain for about a month with all these new telescopes around.
Clear skies and happy viewing to all who have managed to get a new Lidl telescope.

Brian Seales reports that there are still some available in a brand-new Lidl at Tyrrelstown Co Meath - near Mulhuddart. Apparently NONE were sold by the time he arrived there at about noon - there were 10, and there are now 9.
By the way, Moore St had a "one telescope per customer" policy. Not sure if that is universal throughout all the Lidl stores, but I guess it would be easier for someone to buy more than one in places like Tyrrelstown.

Dear Friends,
A question to those buying (or aware about) the 70mm refractor: does the cradle ring include the 1/4"-20 screw for attaching a camera atop the telescope?
Anthony.

I got to LIDL in Athy in Co. Kildare at 7.45am and there were two people waiting to purchase the ETX's. There was a pallet of them there, and it was quiet enough at 8.10am when i was leaving!
