A load of Astronomy gear in Lidl

Just a heads up for loads of astronomy gear in lidl, equipment like-
- Bresser Messier R-102 Refractor Telescope
- Meade ETX-70AT Computer Telescope
- Bresser Spotting Scope
- Bresser Skylux Refractor Telescope
- Bresser Anti-fog Hunting Binoculars, 8 x 56
- Binoculars, 10 x 50

I think Lidl have finally woken up to the desire for good starter scopes in Ireland and there is also a small holiday period coming up that might have something to do with it

Seems like Lidl will give A&S a run for their money next week! They're turning into a right little discounted astronomy shop!

I see they are also selling an IR night vision monocular. I have seen some interesting images posted of the night sky through night vision systems before. Would make an interesting IR telescope.

Which of these would you recommend as a started scope. I actually have an LX90 8", but this is a recommendation for someone else ( a 14 year old interested in astronomy who has some beginners experience ).
I'm guessing the autostar ont he meade is a winner really, although the bressier does look attactive, but I'm not sure how good they are, it does have 102m so might be more useful than the 70m.

I'd go for the R102 refractor if you can afford it. But, having had the Skylux, it too is a worthy scope to have.
