I've got an admission to make too. The real reason I may give away the Skylux is to make space for a Lunt Solar Systems LS60/Ha, which I hope to acquire in time for next summer.
Of course I will be emigrating to Timbuktu in the hope of having some sunny days to use it on.

Hi guys,
Purchased a Skylux from Lidl yesterday.
Got to my local store at about 8.30am, and saw someone carrying two Skylux Telescopes out of the shop! I feared the worst, but as I got in, I saw one with my name written all over it!
There seemed to be only two 102's left, and only a handful of the others. There was bucket loads of the Binoculars though, and a stacked pallet of Astronomy books, which I decided to get aswell.

Hi XULYKS
congrats on the new scope. hope you get lots of pleasure from it. Can I also suggest that you pick up a pair of the 10X50 binoculars if you dont already have a set. You will find them invaluable when learning your way around the sky.
Also you might download the beginners and binocular hand books from the observing challenge section of the sky. Loads of great tips and objects to find to keep you busy for ages

just in case anyone is wondering, or missed out on the scopes in other areas, there are still a number of telescopes left in the Carrick On Shannon Lidl, although im not sure or the models or quantities, and also a number of binos. Couldnt get actual figures as i wasnt there but my dad was picking up a pair of bressier binos for me and he said there was a fair few binos left and a few scopes ( its up to you to decide what quantity a "few" is). Give them a call if you are still looking.
