Better that old people should die of talk than to have young people die in war.

I'm trying to find our whether the R102 has a 2" or a 1.25" focuser. If it's 2" I want one so anyone turning up early at the Kildare branch can expect to queue behind me
A planetary scope would nicely round out my collection.

I have one of these from a couple of years back. They are really good. The are 'image intensifying' so you can hold them up to the eyepiece of a telescope and get an enhanced view. Great fun too.

I see they are also selling an IR night vision monocular.

I know someone who was shopping for binoculars and a tripod today for their 10 year who's showing a strong interest in astronomy. Sent them a txt straight away when I saw what Lidl were offering next week and told them to wait

mmmm.
For 70 euro I'll defiantly get the Skylux Refractor, will work well with the
Astrotrac.
The R-102 is also excellent value.
MMMM
may b tempted!

Not much use for astrophotography though. The green kills your dark adaption too. Mine just get used for watching foxes!

Found my answer. According to
this catalog
(p29) the focuser on the R102 will take 2"/1.25" eyepieces - in other words a 2" focuser
