As for celestron been the best out there, the answer is no. (I own a celestron refractor so I'm not celestron bashing here).


I can't see anywere in this tread where someone said Celestron is the beat out there. :!:

I suppose it aint much of a jump....in that case il hold out for some thing better...is celestron the best make?

Ye thanks il wait in see what direction i go in the hobby....keep my ears open for ye experienced lads conversations

Tis a big scope, but it breaks down to manageable parts, I transport it in an estate car, not so big really. There are alot bigger out there .
When I first started off in this hobby, I used to dream of the day I'd own a 4 inch refractor, aperture fever is an incurable disease.
I'll have the scope at CSP in January, anyone there is welcome to have a look through it if we have an observing session.

Hi Dave,

i might take you up on that offer i spend alot of time in shannon well maybe 2-3days in a month @ the airport......if i buy a 20" il have to change my car iv 2door beemer an it struggles with my 8" and mount an all the other gadgets i have :lol:

ps: only for the america military movenments at shannon the airport would be very quiet.....thanks for the replies every1
